Communication Disorders

Children and adults with communication disorders can experience social exclusion, and educational and occupational disadvantage. Many are also at an increased risk of psychological problems on account of their difficulties with communication. Research within this theme examines developmental and acquired communication disorders with a view to mitigating the serious, and often lifelong, consequences of these disorders.
